Do you have your “brows on” today?

How would you describe them? Are they implausibly artistic, arched and strong, bushy, peculiarly misshapen, thick and expressive, gray and sparse? The list goes on, and as you can see from the picture below, the trends have changed over the years.

I never had my brows waxed or shaped other than by using my handy dandy tweezers until I was in my 30’s. Some people are really talented at using them. I had my moments, but I usually had one brow thicker and shaped differently than the other. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that your eyebrows are “sisters”, not “twins”. Just as each side of our face differs slightly from the other, so do our brows!

There are many different options out there for making our brows look WOW!

You can dye them yourself or get them dyed in a salon, have them micro bladed, or use a brow tinting gel or pencil. Tinting our brows creates a natural, youthful look. Darker, fuller, and thicker brows seem to be “what’s in” these days.

As mentioned above, microblading brows is a solution that many people are doing lately. It is basically having your brows tattooed on. It typically involves a few visits to a professional, is quite costly, and usually lasts about 1-3 years before it is time to do it again. It is very important to research the process and read a lot of reviews before deciding to go this route.

I’ve found that the tinted brow gel helps the appearance of fuller, darker, more defined, and younger looking brows. Distinctive brows are an important part of framing the face. Tinted brow gel is for all skin types. It comes in natural colors to complement your skin and hair, and is useful when combatting those pesky grays!
