Who are we?

We are a group of professional women in the Denver metropolitan area. We are proud of our diverse membership base which represents a broad spectrum of professions such as attorneys, accountants, bankers, life coaches, healthcare professionals, authors and human resource directors. Our members are women who are just starting out in their careers, retirees, small business owners and women who work for some of the largest firms in Denver.

Women join The Alliance of Professional Women for many different reasons. The Alliance of Professional Women is a “soft” networking organization. We invite you to get to know a group of fabulous women, build relationships with them, and use that foundation as a means to network personally and professionally.

The Alliance of Professional Women is unique among womens’ organizations in Denver. We are a “one-stop shop” for professional networking opportunities and referrals, and we provide our members with:

    SUPPORT from other women in a vast array of professions and career stages
    through our Networking Luncheons, Events and our Roundtable Program.

    OPPORTUNITIES to volunteer and give to support women and girls in Denver and internationally through philanthropic connections with our Alliance Foundation. The Alliance provides Scholarships to women attending college in Denver and funds a Village Bank, a microcredit program that provides life changing small business loans to impoverished women in developing countries.

    INFORMATION on current and pending state and national legislation
    affecting women.

    EDUCATIONAL opportunities through our Business After Hours events
    and Continuing Education for-credit courses.

    INFORMATION on cultural and philanthropic goings-on in the Community, as
    well as local businesses, members and Alliance events through our monthly
    newsletter, The Communique.

    PROMOTION showcase your business in our membership directory as well as through advertising in our monthly newsletter with an e-distribution to over a thousand local women. Members can also sponsor one of our monthly Networking Luncheons.

Make no mistake, however, along with all this networking, marketing and philanthropy is also a lot of FUN! We have monthly Networking Luncheons at restaurants throughout the Denver area (we vary locations to accommodate members all over the city). We host Business After Hours events like Spa Night, Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting, and feature a variety of speakers and panel discussions. Our Alliance Foundation also hosts fundraisers each year with themes such as City Lights Boardwalk Nights and Passport to Italy.

Truly the best way to get a “feel” for the Alliance, its members, and what we’re all about is to attend one of our monthly Networking Luncheons.
